Monsterverse fans: Rejoice! For the official trailer for the sequel to 2023’s Godzilla Minus One, Godzilla Minus Zero — which was filmed for IMAX — released earlier today, and confirmed what many have long suspected: King Ghidorah, a giant dragon-like extraterrestrial monster and famous foe of Godzilla, is set to appear in the film.
"This isn't Godzilla we are talking about."

Godzilla Minus One blew us all away three years ago, with its reported $10 million budget maximised to its absolute fullest potential to create a spectacle unlike the kaiju had been the subject of in quite some time; not since Ishirõ Honda’s ’54 effort had we had it so good.
Though the budget for its sequel remains undisclosed, it’s fair to assume — given the financial success of its predecessor — that this one is to be backed to an even greater degree. And with the unmistakable screech of Ghidorah caught in this trailer, it’s clear that director Takashi Yamazaki is going bigger and badder this time around.
The trailer also seems to confirm that there will be no third instalment in the series; “THERE IS NO THIRD TIME”. Depending on the movie’s financial viability, we’ll see about that — but for the time being, an epic conclusion lies ahead.
Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Miou Tanaka and more all return to reprise their roles from Godzilla Minus One, with the film hitting screens November 6th.
